Jahangiri to attend GECF meeting in Bolivia
TEHRAN – First Vice-President Es’haq Jahangiri has confirmed his attendance to the 4th meeting of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) which is due to be held from November 21 to 24 in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz, Tasnim reported.
According to Bolivian Foreign Minister Fernando Huanacuni, officials from Equatorial Guinea, Venezuela and Paraguay have also confirmed their attendance through official notes.
“Iraq, Oman, Peru, Norway, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will participate as observers in this meeting,” Huanacuni said.
The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) is an international governmental organization which provides the framework for exchanging experience and information among Member Countries.
Iran, Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela are the permanent members of GECF and Azerbaijan, Iraq, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman and Peru have the status of Observer Members.
